Best Black Friday Deals UK 2016: This week's best early Black Friday UK deals

Amp up with huge savings on Sennheiser headphones

Sennheiser makes some of the very best audio gear around. Whether you're looking for on-ear, over-ear or in-ear headphones, you can bag a bargain by picking up your new kit at the official Sennheiser outlet.

There's some seriously good deals on offer, not least for the excellent Sennheiser HD 700 over-ears, which we scored 8/10 in our review a few years ago. They're every bit as good today, and you can now nab a refurbished pair for just £320, which is £280 less than the launch price and about £80 better than you'll find anywhere else online.

Grab 'em while you can!

Get fit with this massively discounted Apple Watch Series 1 sport model

Apple Watch Sport

The Apple Watch remains the smartwatch to own. Its sleek, classy design and versatility makes it a useful gadget to own. Despite the fact that Apple recently announced the Series 2, the original still remains hot property. What's more, since its first release, the Apple Watch software has gone through some significant redesigns, with watchOS 3 making it more intuitive and even more useful than ever before.

It's currently retailing for £199 at Argos, which is a total bargain. The Apple store lists it anywhere between £269 and £299, so snap up this deal while it lasts.

Jump into the world of next generation gaming with this Xbox One S deal

Xbox one s

The next-generation(-ish) consoles are upon us, and if you're yet to start using one, this is your chance. The recently announced Xbox One S is going for £219, which is a pretty hefty discount on its R.R.P of £249.99.

The Xbox One S is pretty nifty games console. It's far slicker and much pretty than the original Xbox One as well as being considerably smaller. Microsoft even gave it some extra power to take the strain out of HDR gaming, and it's 4K-ready too – just not for gaming.

But we reckon that the Xbox One S really shines as a 4K Blu-ray player. At £219, it's a fraction of the price of other standalone players available, and offers 4K upscaling too. And with the added bonus of it being the latest games console, what's not to like?

Super smartphone deal: iPhone 7 at Three with awesome 30GB tariff

iphone 7

The iPhone 7 is finally available (albeit only via pre-order), so you can already bag yourself a sweet contact deal.

The best deal we found is with Three, and costs £44 per month with a £99 upfront fee. This gets you AYCE minutes, AYCE texts, and 30GB of data on a 24-month contract.

As this is an ‘Advanced’ plan, you’ll also be able to hotspot the entire 30GB of data, and take advantage of Feel At Home roaming.

We’re not sure how long this deal will last however, as you’re getting a sizeable 30GB of data for the price of 8GB – snap this one up quickly.

Get wired on the cheap! Best ever price on Nespresso Pixie coffee machine – save £65

There are few better ways to start the day than with a quality cup of coffee, but hitting up your local artisan roastery every day is expensive (trust me), French presses are messy, and instant coffee frankly tastes like crap.

The solution? Pod coffee, and Nespresso is the standard bearer when it comes to these quick, clean and easy to use machines.

Its Nespresso Pixie brewer, made by the ever-reliable Krups, is one particularly good option. Last year, we reviewed a slightly different model of the Nespresso Pixie manufactured by Magimix and awarded it a robust 8/10 stars.

It's packed full of useful features, looks great and is available in a range of colours, but the best is still to come – right now, you can save £65 on the machine, which is more than 50% off, over on Amazon UK!

The Pixie carries an RRP of £140, but is now just £74.99 – the lowest its ever been, according to data from Amazon price-tracker camelcamelcamel – so why not treat yourself to a great product at an even better price?

What is Black Friday?

Put simply, Black Friday is one of the most important shopping days of the year. It's become so popular that it now takes over a whole week, though theoretically it still comes down to one day, and that's traditionally the day after Thanksgiving in the US.

Since the early 1930s, this has been viewed as the start of the Christmas shopping season for our American cousins, kicking off extensive promotional sales.

These days, it's when retailers price-drop many of their goods, causing a pre-Christmas rush of epic proportions. Like fast food and dodgy grammar, Black Friday has now bled into the UK from the US. Several UK retailers – online and on the high street – now offer sales worth checking out.

So, drop everything you're doing and bookmark this page for all the best deals in the build up to Black Friday, and on the big day itself. Loads of UK retailers are taking part, you're bound to pick up a bargain.

Here's what to expect from a number of the UK's top retailers.

Black Friday 2016: Best deals to expect from Amazon UK

Amazon logo

Amazon goes big on Black Friday, however hard it tries to convince you that really it's all about its own Amazon Prime Day.

Those who have signed up to the company’s premium service, Amazon Prime, will get early access to 30,000 Lightning deals before they are made available to other shoppers.

Amazon offers new deals every hour throughout the Black Friday week, starting on Monday. These offers cover the full spectrum of what Amazon has to offer, which is pretty much everything.

In the past you’ve been able to get great deals on electronic goods such as laptops, consoles, cameras, smartphones, and the like – one thing that's virtually guaranteed is that Amazon will price slash its own-brand Fire and Kindle products significantly on the day.

You’ll need to be quick, though, as all the best deals sell out very quickly. As always, we recommend that you stick around at least 15 minutes after the deal starts. Many people who put products in their basket as soon as the deal starts then leave them to time out after 15 minutes, making deals that previously appeared ‘sold out’ available once more.

Black Friday 2016: Best deals to expect from Argos, Currys and John Lewis

All of the UK's big electronics retailers come out to play on Black Friday, but a few are particularly worth paying attention to.

These include Currys, which combines its High Street sales with a sizeable online operation, as well as ever reliable Argos, who will let you sign up for deals notifications ahead of Black Friday.

Even John Lewis, the UK's principle purveyor of a higher class of retail experience, gets in on the action, honouring its year-round price-match promise to include Black Friday deals.

Expect a wide range of tempting deals for these retailers covering everything from phones to games consoles and kitchen gear, but in our opinion, the big ticket item this year is going to be 4K TVs.

Black Friday 2016: Best deals to expect from Apple

Apple Logo

Yes, that Apple, the same Apple that almost never shaves so much as a farthing off its product prices unless it's trying to ship fancy kit to students.

But that's how big of a deal Black Friday is – even Apple gets involved.

We don’t really know what Apple will be offering just yet, but in previous years we've seen modest savings of up to £80 off many of its iPad, Mac and iPod Touch models. Pretty stingy then, but at least it's something.

Your best bet is to head to Apple's site on the day, or check out leading UK mobile retailers such as Carphone Warehouse if it's a bargain iPhone that you're after, as there may be savings on offer.

Your link to the Trusted Review for the 50" TV is for the model LTDN50K321UWTSEU which is different from the Amazon discounted one HE50KEC315UWTS. Are they otherwise similar?

November 26, 2015, 12:25 pm

We're pretty confident they're the same models. You sometimes see this where companies sell through similar models to different retailers. So far as I can tell, one has a silver frame and the other is black. The specs look the same otherwise.

If you're looking for a suit or formal wear then Dobell have 30% off everything today, cheaper than Moss and the High Street. Last time I bought from them the stuff was ok too.
