Sony Accepting Home Beta Sign-Ups

PlayStation's Home has been more than a long time coming but, at long last, we're drawing ever closer to its release. The promised Home Beta has started happening with one catch to us British folks: it's Japan only for now. Still, we can but hope that the trial will propagate across to all Sony Computer Entertainment's territories in due course.

If you are one of the lucky 10,000 Japanese trial-participants accepted into the closed beta then you'll be getting access to some interesting stuff. As we already know activities such as customizing your own personal space, watching game and film trailers in the theatre area and simply chatting to fellow virtual inhabitants are just a small part from what Home is about.
In this latest beta, in addition to the standard walking around a 3D virtual world aspect of Home, Sony has teamed up with Namco to create a Namco Museum PlayStation Home environment. Therein players (if that's the right word for Home users) will be able to interact with virtual arcade machines offering classic Namco titles such as PacMan, DigDug and Elevator Action.
Come on Sony, hurry up and release Home in the UK already!
