Best 3DS Games 2016

Nintendo 3DS controls

Take a look back at the best games that launched in 2015 for the New 3DS, 2DS or New 3DS XL.

The 3DS family is still the undisputed king of the handheld world – with mobile gaming still a separate entity. The New 3DS and New 3DS XL really defined 2015 for Nintendo's handheld market, even if they did launch at the end of 2014.

Increased power and better 3D tech meant we saw better games launch over the last 12 months.

Whether its retro revamps like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D or new iterations of old gems like Pokemon Rumble World, there's plenty of gaming action to be had on Nintendo's dinky handheld.

But there's also other excellent additions like Activision's toys-to-life entry for 2015 – Skylanders Superchargers. It's a well-thought-out game that introduces vehicles to the series for the first time.

Or there's the lesser known Little Battlers eXperience to consider, which perfectly blends RPG and real-live combat elements.

You could also opt for the cutesy yet addictive Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash, or just play it safe and get yourself Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.

It's sad how sites like this are so desperate for hits that they will drag relatively short articles out over so many pages.

Fire Emblem Awakening came out in 2013, not 2014. So why would it be on a list of 2014's best games?
