With your votes still being tallied in the TrustedReviews 2011 Awards, we are gathering together the best and brightest in the technology world to populate our Awards panel - which will ultimately decide on the products of the year.
For the past month or so, you have been voting for your favourite product in each of the 14 categories and from those votes we will get the top three in each category. It is then up to our panel of 11 experts to decide the winner in each case.
The judging will take place over the coming days when each product will be thoroughly tested by the panellists before the winner is given that prestigious TrustedReviews seal of approval.
So we thought we’d introduce you to the panel ahead of the results being announced later this week:
Matt Warman is the consumer technology editor at Telegraph Media Group who reports on every aspect of consumer technology from mobile phones to government policies affecting the industry. Matt reports on the latest news as well as reviewing the latest products which means he has an in-depth knowledge of the state of the industry.

Rene Millman is a writer, broadcaster and journalist, who has made numerous television appearances giving his views and expert opinion on technology trends and companies that affect and shape our lives. As a presenter, Rene specialises in technology and gadgets, benefitting from his many years working as a journalist and analyst – working with most of the world’s largest technology companies.

Melanie Hick is technology editor of Huffington Post UK. Australian by birth, Melanie is excited that technology is no longer the sole domain of boffins, but part of our everyday lives. Cliff Jones is the Editor of TrustedReviews and was an early adopter of electronics and is a self-confessed gadget fan with a special passion for audio technology. Cliff has previously worked for National Public Radio in the US as well as AOL and the BBC before coming to TrustedReviews.
Edward Chester is Reviews Editor at the site and has reviewed mobiles, tablets, laptops, headphones and just about every other technology product you care to mention in this five-plus years with the site. Currently he's the smartphone guru in the office.
Andrew Williams is Review Editor at TrustedReviews and has been listening to and writing about audio for more than three years now. Prior to that Andrew was writing about mobile games development in an era before everyone knew about Angry Birds.
Audley Jarvis is our resident camera expert and ever since his first 35mm camera (a Pentax P30 if you must know) he has been hooked on photography. Having previously worked for What Digital Camera, and accumulated 14 years experience as a journalist, Audley has a wealth of expertise to bring to his reviews.
Ardjuna Seghers is a staff writer at TrustedReviews and is the team’s laptop and PC expert. He has been fascinated by computers and laptops since an early age and what he doesn’t know about processors and motherboards just isn’t worth knowing.
David Gilbert is the News Editor for the site and covers everything from the emergence of 4G technology to the latest and greatest smartphones, tablets and laptops. David previously worked as a news reporter for regional and national papers in Ireland for five years, where he wrote a gadget column for a number of papers and magazines.
So there you have it, the TrustedReviews 2011 Awards panel, who will be discussing, debating, arguing and finally choosing the best product in each of our 14 categories over the next few days, before we finally announce the winners later this week.
