Xbox has released a new sizzle trailer showing off some of the Xbox One game exclusives ahead of the Microsoft conference at Gamescom.
Although not all the games shown are next-generation exclusives as they will be released on Xbox 360 too, Microsoft has taken the time to show off some of the titles coming to Xbox One.
With its Gamescom press event happening tomorrow, August 20, Microsoft is seemingly reminding its fans of the titles already confirmed for its next-generation console.
Other games showcased will be available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with some of them also launching for PS3 and PS4 consoles and PC too. These include Watch_Dogs, Madden NFL 25, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Titanfall, Call of Duty: Ghosts and FIFA 14.
Although there’s no word on an exact timing for the Xbox One conference at Gamescom 2013, Microsoft Studios’ corporate Vice President Phil Spencer hinted a new Xbox One exclusive would be unveiled.
“We’re going to have a really short stage presentation with some news, talking about some unique exclusives coming to the platform,” Spencer said. “We’re going to talk about Europe’s biggest franchise and maybe some interesting things.”
“We have some stuff, but most of the time will be spent with the press getting time with the developers, with their games. So you should think about this as a room with a lot of hands-on. We think that these platforms are about the games, and we want to give the press time with the games.”
It seems like Microsoft is boasting its advantages where it can of late, in light of the amount of backtracks it has made on key announcements made during its Xbox One unveiling.
In the past couple of months, Microsoft has ditched the always-on Kinect requirement for Xbox One, performed a complete 180 on its DRM and online check-in policies and revealed that the Xbox One release date has been delayed until 2014 in eight countries.
