FIFA 14 tops UK All Format Gaming Chart for seventh time

FIFA 14 has topped the UK All Format Gaming Chart for the seventh time, proving its popularity with next-gen gamers.

EA Games’ latest football SIM has not only had seven weeks at the top, but has been crowned as the UK’s number 1 the past four weeks consecutively.

This amazing feat was still achieved despite a 32 per cent drop in FIFA 14 sales.

Also showing fantastic sales is Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts, which has been in second place behind FIFA 14 for four consecutive weeks.

Battlefield 4 rose to number three, swapping places with Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag which fell to fourth following a 52 per cent drop in sales.

GTA 5 is still strong at number 5 again, while Lego Marvel Super Heroes shifted from seventh to sixth for the week ending January 11. This meant Need for Speed: Rivals dropped a place to seventh.

One of the most impressive climbers for the week ending January 11 was Killzone: Shadow Fall. The Sony Entertainment Studios’ title rose 13 places to number 8 following a sharp 63 per cent rise in sales as PS4 consoles came back into stock at retail outlets.

Killzone’s re-entry pushed Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition down to ninth.

Aliens: Colonial Marines climbed 5 places to number 10 this week, as the average price for the game across all consoles dropped to under £5.
