The Samsung Gear Fit UK pricing has been revealed by a retailer, along with the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.

Although the Gear Fit and its smartwatch brethren aren’t expected to launch until April 11 with the Samsung Galaxy S5, Unlocked Mobiles has UK stock of all three devices.

According to the retailer’s prices, you’ll have to fork out £179.98 for the Gear Fit, which is considerably more than its fitness tracker rivals.

Alternatives like the Fitbit Force, Misfit Shine, Jawbone UP24 and Nike Fuelband SE cost around £100 - £130, so it was expected that the Gear Fit would be price to compete.

However, the Gear Fit does feature a 1.85-inch curved AMOLED display, a water resistant body, heart rate monitor built into the wristband and around three-to-four days of battery life.

Whether these features are worth an extra £50 is up for debate, especially as when you reach the £200 mark you’re starting to step into the serious Polar fitness accessory territory.

Unlocked Mobiles also has stock and pricing details for the Tizen OS based Samsung smartwatch duo, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.

The Gear 2, which comes with an in-built camera, retails for  a very specific £249.98. This might seem like a lot but considering the original Samsung Galaxy Gear launched with a £299 price tag with very limited functionality and compatibility, this seems like quite the bargain.

If you don’t fancy a camera on your smartwatch and aren’t fussed about a metal body, you could opt for the Gear 2 Neo, which is considerably cheaper at £179.98 and matches the Gear Fit.

Both the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo feature a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display and IP67 dust and water resistant certification. With low usage you can stretch the battery life to around six days, but average life expectancy on a single charge is between 2 – 3 days.
