The Samsung Galaxy S5 looks set to become superseded by a new metal bodied spinoff, as a new Samsung Galaxy F image leaks.
With a metal S5 having long been tipped to be in the works, the mooted handset has made a number of premature appearances under the billing of both the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime and Samsung Galaxy F.
Now, respected Twitter-based tipster @evleaks has waded into the debate, with a claimed press render of the Samsung Galaxy F showing off a handset with a golden brushed metal rear, much like that found on the iPhone 5S or HTC One M8.
According to the premature tease, the Galaxy F’s bling-loving colour scheme will be known as “perfect golden”, with the handset to hit retailers later this year.
Although Samsung has yet to officially acknowledge the existence of such a device, further reports have suggested that a Samsung Galaxy F release date will be held in September.
If accurate, this launch window should see the high-end device land alongside not only the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet, but within days of the eagerly awaited iPhone 6. It would also see the device split the arrival of the S5 and next year’s expected Samsung Galaxy S6.
Samsung Galaxy F specs are still unconfirmed but a September arrival would likely see the handset benefit from the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 804 CPU. A 2560 x 1440 pixel QHD display and 3GB of RAM are also on the list of possible inclusions.
