Best Games for Kids 2016

Available on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U

Disney Infinity has the broadest church of any toys-to-life game. Some kids are drawn by the characters and the story-based playset action, others by the chance to get creative, building worlds to fill with their favourite Disney stars, customising the buildings or designing their own home, or even making their own game levels to share online.

Disney Infinity 3.0 doesn’t mess with that, though the creative stuff can feel a little buried under a mountain of exciting stuff to do. What it really brings to the Infinity party, though, is the Star Wars license, making this the only game where characters from both the original and prequel trilogies, plus the new Star Wars: Rebels TV series, can get mixed up with Marvel’s mightiest superheroes and the stars of Disney’s Frozen, Pixar’s Inside Out and many more. Needless to say, you’ll need some pretty deep pockets to collect them all.  With the new The Force Awakens pack and figures, it’s also the closest thing we have to a tie-in for the new JJ Abrams film.
