The Oppo R7 will be officially unveiled on May 20, latest reports have suggested.
The subject of multiple leaks and rumours in recent weeks, the Oppo R7 has been teased as a near bezel-free flagship phone from the Chinese manufacturer.
Now, according to the folks over at GizChina, the Oppo R7 will be formally debuted on May 20 alongside a big brother, the Oppo R7 Plus.
An expected follow-on to the super svelte Oppo R5, it has been suggested that the R7 will be one of the thinnest phones on the market, tipped to line up less than 5mm thick.
While we keep our fingers crossed for a May 20 unveiling, given the less than official avenues from which this date has emerged, we must stress that these claims should be taken with a pinch of salt, at least for now.

Further R7 features tipped to make an appearance include the new MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 processor and a relatively small 2000mAh battery, restricted by the phone’s minimalist form.
An expected challenger to the likes of the Huawei P8, the Oppo R7 specs sheet will reportedly be enhanced by a 20.7-megapixel rear-mounted camera, similar to that found on the Sony Xperia Z3.
As well as being near bezel-free in design, the Oppo R7’s screen looks set to be easy on the eye. The phone has been tipped to boast a 4.7-inch panel with a 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution.
