iPad mini 2 leaks in iPhone 5S colour scheme
New iPad mini 2 pictures have leaked with Apple’s next-gen tablet caught on camera with an iPhone 5S inspired coloured makeover.
With the iPhone 5S having moved from standard black and white colour schemes to new ‘Space Grey’, Gold and Silver options,
Not a million miles from the standard silver backed original iPad mini, the Space Grey iPad mini 2 looks set to feature a slightly darker metallic finish, bringing the tablet range in line with Apple’s latest flagship smartphone offering. The iPhone 5S is set to be formally released in the UK tomorrow, September 20.
Hitting the web courtesy of Japanese components seller Moumantai, the leaked iPad mini 2 casing has suggested that the tablet will feature a form factor identical to its predecessor, with no integrated flash being added to the device’s camera.
iPad mini Rumours
Although Apple has yet to officially acknowledge the existence of such a device, a raft of iPad mini 2 rumours have circulated in recent weeks, with the Google Nexus 7 2 rival expected to touch down with a Retina display as its new party piece.
While the inclusion of a Retina display is widely expected, further iPad mini 2 specs remain less clear with a move to the iPhone 5S’s A7 CPU possibility alongside improved camera optics.
With an iPad mini 2 release date expected to be announced during a rumoured October 15 launch event, the revised tablet will run the new iOS 7 operating system which was official launched as a free update to existing iDevice owners yesterday.
