Samsung could be on the cusp of expanding its flagship phone line, with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus having been tipped for a grand unveiling in the coming weeks.

A plus-sized sibling to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the Plus has been mooted as a Galaxy Note 5 predecessor of sorts – just without the accompanying S Pen stylus.

Although the handset’s exact dimensions are currently unclear, the folks over at HDBlog have cited unnamed insiders in claimed the mooted device will firmly adopt a ‘phablet’ form factor.

Reportedly doing the rounds under the codename ‘Project Zero 2’ – the S6 was Project Zero – the phone has been rumoured to sport a dual-edge incorporating display, a lá the S6 Edge.

What’s more, it has been suggested that the high-end handset could enter the realms of reality in a matter of weeks. A precise launch date is still shrouded in much mystery, however.

Having previously been teased under the moniker of the S6 Grand, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus is expected to be just one of a number of spin-off devices circling the company’s iPhone 6 rival.

Expected to joining the oversized Plus is the compact, specs restricted Galaxy S6 Mini, while a waterproof S6 Active has also leaked (pardon the pun) in recent weeks.
