Google’s “Really Blue” Pixel phone will not be available in the UK, a tweet by the company has revealed.
After months of anticipation, Google released its long awaited Pixel phones last night. The range includes two different sizes and three different colours: Quite Black, Very Silver, and Really Blue.
But Google UK quickly delivered the bad news to British fans of the jazzy blue option via Twitter.

According to the video in the tweet, the blue option will only be available to those in the USA. This means UK customers are lumped with the Quite Black and Very Silver options. Sure, both look smart but they don’t carry quite the same attitude as the blue handset.
The tongue in cheek colour names have been the source of much mirth online. Most seem to think they’re either very clever or very stupid. However, we reckon Google are poking a bit of fun at the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus colour options, which included names like “Jet Black”.

Last night wasn’t just phones, though. The Pixel was launched alongside numerous other Google products. These included Daydream View – the company's long touted VR headset – Chromecast Ultra HD and Google Home.
There were also plenty of software announcements, with Google lavishing praise on its developments in AI.
