Overwatch Winter Wonderland modes – Anything new?
Mei’s Snowball Offensive has returned, although it will now be available in Black Forest alongside Ecopoint Antarctica. This involves 2 teams consisting entirely of Mei absorbing snow from across the map and dispatching enemies with it. It’s a fun way to blow off steam and earn some loot boxes.
A new mode is also coming in the form of Mei’s Yeti Hunt. This will involve a team of six Meis going up against a single Yeti, otherwise known as Winston in his abominable skin. He will be controlled by another player, meaning you’ll need to work together to emerge victorious.

Winston can collect chunks of meat found across Nepal Village that will eventually activate his ultimate ability. This will turn the tables, so you’ll have to be quick before he gains the upper hand. Once Winston or enough Meis have been defeated, the game is over.
Blizzard has stressed that Yeti Hunt shouldn’t be taken seriously as a competitive mode like vanilla Overwatch, saying it wanted to try something ‘new and different’ to celebrate the holidays.
