More Sony Xperia Z3 Compact pictures leaked
A fresh batch of Sony Xperia Z3 Compact pictures have been leaked online, giving us another look at the upcoming mid-range handset.
The Xperia Z3 Compact is expected to launch at the Sony IFA 2014 press conference in Berlin next month on September 3, so the leaks have been coming in thick and fast of late.
Now, a new collection of photographs of the Z3 Compact have emerged courtesy of XperiaBlog, giving us a better look at some of the features we can expect.
One of the major spots in these images is the confirmation of the 1/2.3-inch 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS camera and LED flash on the rear of the Z3 Compact.
This is the same rear camera as featured in the Sony Xperia Z2 and previous generations like the Sony Xperia Z1 and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, so don’t expect much enhancement there.
Also visible is the standard dedicated camera button, a flap covering the microUSB and microSD ports and the open 3.5mm headphone jack.
As with previous Xperia handsets, the Z3 Compact looks to be of the same slim profile design. This one is shealthed in a plastic cover too, so that adds a little extra bulk to the otherwise slimline phone.
Sadly, there are no shots of the actual interface of the phone, so it will be interesting to see if both the flagship Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact have some brand new software features.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact specs are supposed to include a 4.6-inch display with a 1080 vs 920p full HD display, upping the 4.3-inch 720p affair offered with the Z1 Compact.
It is expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, meaning it would match the processing power of flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S5. That CPU is also meant to be matched with 3GB of RAM.
