LG V20 wins race to be first non-Nexus phone with Android 7.0 Nougat

LG has announced the LG V20 smartphone will arrive in September, packing the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
Aside from the expected Nexus phones, the LG V20 will be the first phone to run Nougat out of the box.
The phone is the successor to last year’s LG V10, which offered a secondary screen offering shortcuts to apps.
The customisable display – next to two selfie cams – enabled users to showcase favourite apps, media controls, favourite contacts or even a personalised signature.
The LG V20 will retain those features, but other than that, the Korean company is keeping other details under wraps.

A full launch is expected at IFA 2016 at the beginning of September.
Android 7.0 Nougat is expected to roll-out in full before the end of the month alongside at least one new Nexus handset.
Rumours on Monday suggest Google may shock everyone with a launch this week, alongside a new Nexus phone from HTC.
Current Nexus devices, like the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P, would also be first in line for the update.
