The iPhone 6S release date has reportedly leaked, with the handset expected to hit retailers on September 25.
The late September arrival has been tipped by Mobile News which claims to have seen an internal memo sent to network provider Vodafone over the impending launch.
Despite not mentioning a specific model number, the leaked email reportedly referred to a “new iPhone”, adding that pre-orders will kick off a week earlier on September 18.

Although Apple’s next handset is widely expected to be known as the iPhone 6S – or potentially the iPhone 7 – the email is said to have hinted Apple could drop its numerical naming convention altogether.
If accurate, this would see the company’s market-leading handset line echo the naming convention of its iPad tablet range.
There is currently no word if the leaked email made reference to the arrival of the iPhone 6S Plus or plastic-clad iPhone 6c – both devices expected to debut alongside the 6S.

According to recent leaks, the iPhone 6S will be built around the same design as the iPhone 6, albeit with an array of new components.
As well as playing host to a significant camera boost, the phone has been tipped to adopt a Samsung Galaxy S6 rivalling 2K display.
