iPad Air Release Date: Where to buy the iPad 5

Apple officially unveiled the iPad Air and iPad mini 2 with Retina display at the iPad launch event on October 22.

Now retailers and UK network providers have started to announce further availability for both new iPad models ahead of their joint November 1 release date.

Both the iPad mini with Retina Display and iPad Air come in models with internal storage options ranging from 16GB to a whopping 128GB, the latter comes at a price though.

Apple Stores

Of course, can you just get your new iPad Air directly from the Apple Store, either online or the physical high-street option. You won’t be able to pre-order either the iPad Air or iPad mini with Retina display though, so you’ll just have to wait until November 1 before placing that order.

Official pricing for the iPad Air is as follows:
Wi-Fi Only
16GB – £399
32GB – £479
64GB – £559
128GB – £639

Wi-Fi & Cellular
16GB – £499
32GB – £579
64GB – £659
128GB – £739

The first UK network provider to announce availability for the iPad Air, Three has yet to reveal any pricing or tariff details for the new 9.7-inch tablet. We expect more information will arrive within a week, days before the new iPads are released.

The original 4G network provider, EE, has also revealed it will be stocking the new iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display, along with its subsidiaries Orange and T-Mobile.

Both new iPads will be offered on the 4GEE network, but pricing has yet to be announced. Those wishing to find out more information can register their interest here.

The iPad Air Wi-Fi & Cellular model will be available from November 1 at Vodafone, with the iPad mini with Retina display following at a later date in November. Both will be offered on the Vodafone 4G network, but pricing will be revealed closer to launch.
