The Huawei P9 looks set to launch in early April, according to a fresh leak.
We received official confirmation that the Huawei P9 was coming this year towards the end of February. Now we appear to have been given a much better idea of precisely when the P9 will launch.
Reliable Twitter tipster Evan Blass took to this @evleaks handle over the weekend to reveal the Huawei P9’s likely release date:
In response to another tipster suggesting that 5 April might actually be the correct date, Blass issued this clarification:
So there you have it. The Huawei P9 will either launch on 5 April or 6 April.

We also received further confirmation of the Huawei P9’s specs. These look set to include a 5.2-inch 1080p display, an octa-core Kirin 950 CPU with Mali-T880 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
The aforementioned dual-lens camera will be a 12-megapixel unit, and the P9’s battery will be an unusually large 3,900mAh example. This one could be built to last.
