Huawei Nexus 6 could offer 128GB storage option

Huawei’s forthcoming Nexus 6 refresh should come with some generous storage options, according to new claims.
Google will reportedly unveil its new Nexus phone range on September 29. All signs are pointing to a dual release incorporating a new Nexus 5 and a new Nexus 6, with LG and Huawei taking on the respective manufacturing duties.
One recent report claims that these devices will be called the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, which would at least provide some differentiation from the previous devices.
We’ve heard more about the new Nexus 5 in recent months, but Android Police has provided some fresh snippets on Huawei’s super-sized Nexus debut.
Apparently, the new Nexus 6 will come with three storage options: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB.
Given that recent Android flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9, and the LG G4 have cut back on such high-end storage options, the presence of a 128GB option will make the new Nexus 6 instantly appealing to some.
It would also mark the first Nexus device to offer such a sizeable amount of internal storage.

Of course, as the report points out, it’s also unlikely that the Huawei Nexus 6 will support microSD expansion, so those seeking a device that offers the endless smartphone capacity of old might need to curtail their expectations.
In addition to these two new Nexus phones, expect Google to talk more about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS that will run on them at its September 29 event. It could also launch a new Chromecast and possibly even a new Nexus tablet, too.
