GTA 5: Premium Edition is coming next month – report

Grand Theft Auto 5: Premium Edition is launching for PS4 and Xbox One in April 2018, according to a new report.

The report published by Kotaku UK states that this upcoming premium package will be coming in April, although a solid release date wasn’t mentioned.

Originally intended to launch on March 23, the premium edition release was pushed back by Rockstar at short notice in recent weeks.

Having previously appeared on a South Korean Ratings Board and European Amazon listings, this report points to a release that seems very likely.

Players will have access to four years of post-launch downloadable content alongside the Criminal Enterprise starter pack.

The Criminal Enterprise starter pack includes a variety of properties, weapons and vehicles which are apparently valued at 10,000,000 GTA dollars:

  • Properties: Maze Bank West Executive Office, Paleto Forest Gunrunning Bunker, Senora Desert Counterfeit Cash Factory, Great Chaparral Biker Clubhouse, 1561 San Vitas Street Apartment, 1337 Exceptionalists Way 10 Car Garage
  • Vehicles: Dune FAV, Maibatsu Frogger, Enus Windsor, Obey Omnis, Coquette Classic, Turismo R, Pegassi Vortex, Huntley S, Western Zombie Chopper, Banshee
  • Weapons, Clothing & Tattoos: Compact Grenade Launcher, Marksman Rifle, Compact Rifle, Stunt Race & Import / Export Outfits, Biker Tattoos

Unfortunately, those hoping for new single-player content will be disappointed, as it seems to focus primarily on GTA Online. If you’re hoping for a strong narrative experience it might be best to wait for Red Dead Redemption 2.
