With the Nintendo Switch now on retailers’ shelves, Microsoft’s eagerly awaited Project Scorpio is the next big thing in the gaming space.

The upcoming console, which is shrouded in mystery but expected to introduce mainstream 4K gaming, has been tipped to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

It won’t be landing on its own, either, with a mass of exciting new games all ready to highlight the potential of true 4K gaming.

Now, according to early marketing materials seems by Windows Central, it’s been suggested that Project Scorpio will be unveiled in just a matter of weeks time, well ahead of June’s E3 gaming expo in LA.

It added that a number of games will be used to demo the new console’s 4K gaming capabilities, including the eagerly awaited Forza Motorsport 7.

There will also be a number of third-party games itching to support 4K gameplay direct from the box too.

Project Scorpio was first teased at last year’s E3 gathering and has been mooted as the most powerful console ever built.

According to Microsoft, the device, which has yet to be handed a finalised name, will pack an 8-core CPU with 6 teraflops of computing power and support true 4K gaming.

Despite the console’s seemingly imminent unveiling, it’s not expect that the hardware will go on sale until this autumn.
