Destiny 2 now has a free trial across all platforms

Bungie has announced a playable trial version of Destiny 2 for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and you can download it right now.

The digital demo provides new players with a surprisingly robust chunk of the full experience. This includes access to a number of story missions set across Earth’s European Dead Zone and Titan, two of the game’s major locations.

EDZ and Titan offer up a variety of activities while also letting players explore the entirety of each play area. Here you can interact with other players, accept side-quests and grind for loot.

All progress will carry over if you decide to purchase the full game, meaning your Guardian won’t be left behind resulting in the need to start over.

The release of Destiny 2’s free trial comes just a week before its first expansion, Curse of Osiris, is set to launch across all platforms.

We had a blast with Destiny 2, rewarding it 9/10 in our review. Here’s what we thought:

‘Destiny 2 is one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played this year, and tackles one of the biggest issues with the first game. Featuring a stellar, albeit easy, single-player campaign, excellent combat and class mechanics.’
