… and something a little different

Okay, it isn’t a wallpaper, but Energy Ring, IJP’s free to download battery level indicator app, makes good use of the entire S10 range’s hole punch cutouts.

A customisable ring will appear around the camera lens when you download the app. When your battery level drops from 100%, the ring will break, and as you lose more and more power, the line will get shorter. You can adjust the thickness of the ring, as well as its design, colours, direction and animations.

Furthermore, IBL says the ring will move around subtly from time to time, in order to avoid screen burn-in. However, the company says there’s no guarantee screen burn-in won’t happen.

Unlike the smaller S10e, which features a Full HD+ (2280 x 1080) resolution panel, the larger S10’s 6.1-inch screen boasts a far sharper Quad HD+ (3040 x 1440) display.

If you fancy making your own punch-hole wallpaper, don’t forget that all of the Galaxy S10 displays conform to a 19:9 aspect ratio and, as they all use AMOLED panel, darker tones and colourful imagery are best-suited to the technology.

You can find all of these wallpapers and more on the dedicated r/S10Wallpapers subreddit that has cropped up on Reddit.
