*UPDATE* CD Projekt Red has confirmed the standalone version of Gwent at Microsoft's E3 2016 press conference.

The title will allow you to play against players regardless of platform, it will also sport an extensive single-player campaign.

Xbox One players will have exclusive access to the upcoming beta prior to the game's launch this September.

Gwent will launch for Xbox One and PC before later expanding to PS4.

CD Projekt Red has plans to release Gwent, The Witcher 3’s popular card game, as a standalone title.

This is according to a recent report by Nerdleaks, who spotted a listing for Gwent The Witcher Card Game with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

The listing was accompanied by a pretty legitimate looking logo, which you can check out below:

Gwent has proven hugely popular since the release of The Witcher 3 in May 2015, so a standalone venture isn’t too surprising.
