The Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A will stay exclusive to Korea

Earlier this week Samsung officially unveiled a QHD display packing Samsung Galaxy S5 spin-off – the Galaxy S5 LTE-A – but now the company has revealed the phone will not be handed a global release.

Having been confirmed for the Korean market, Samsung has revealed that its latest high-end smartphone will not be leaving the shores of its native land.

“Samsung launches the Galaxy S5 Broadband LTE-A in Korea at the end of June 2014,” the company said in a statement sent to Android Central.

The Gear Fit and Gear 2 maker added: “At this moment, there is no specific plan to provide the product to the global market.”

Arguably what the original S5 should have been, the new S5 LTE-A pushes the smartphone market on to yet another new level, with the LG G3 rivalling QHD display packing a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.

As well as being visually superior to its mass market sibling, the S5 LTE-A also packs more grunt, with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor lining up alongside 3GB of RAM and data speeds of up to 225 Mbps.

Although the S5 LTE-A will not be handed a global release, recent reports have suggested that a similarly specced Samsung Galaxy F device is being readied for launch on the global stage later this summer.
