Nokia Lumia 1520 specs leaked ahead of Nokia World launch

The Nokia Lumia 1520 specs have leaked online ahead of its official unveiling tomorrow, revealing a Snapdragon 800 processor.

Ahead of the Nokia World launch tomorrow, October 22, the Nokia Lumia 1520 specs have leaked online courtesy of an official Chinese online retailer.

The specs leaks comes from Nokia’s official Tmall store, an online marketplace in China. A product page for the Lumia 1520 was published complete with a mini specs list for the rumoured 6-inch smartphone, but lacked pictures.

According to the specs, the Lumia 1520 will pack a 6-inch full 1080p HD display powered by a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU.

Not only could the Lumia 1520 be the largest Windows Phone 8 device yet, but it should be the most powerful too.

The 6-inch WP8 device should also have a 20-megapixel PureView camera, falling between the camera capabilities of the Nokia Lumia 925 and Nokia Lumia 1020.

The Lumia 1520 is expected to land in a variety of colours, including the recently leaked cyan, and could be a true Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rival.

Also listed on the Tmall site is a rough price for the Lumia 1520 of 4,999 yuan or around £507.

Microsoft announced the Windows Phone 8 Update 3 last week, which will offer support for 5- and 6-inch screens, the biggest official hint to the Nokia Lumia 1520.

The update will allow six Windows Live Tiles to make up each line of a larger screen Windows Phone device, with all tiles “carefully scaled” to make use of Full 1080p HD resolution screens.

The Nokia Lumia 1520 launch is happening tomorrow at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi. TrustedReviews will be there to bring you all the news as it happens.
