iPhone 6 protruding camera shown off in latest leaks

New iPhone 6 images have leaked, with the latest tease once again showing off the phone’s heavily rumoured protruding rear camera.

An addition which is sure to raise questions from some – and beg questions of being an addition prone to damage – the protruding camera has been spotted on a claimed prototype handset.

Although offering no new details on the phone, the latest leaks seemingly back up claims the phone will feature an all new, rounded, slim line form factor.

Reports earlier this week claimed that the iPhone 6 will line up at a mere 6.9mm thick. Given this svelte body, the phone’s rear camera will protrude by a further 0.67mm.

One of the most eagerly awaited devices of the year, the iPhone 6 looks set to build on the TouchID incorporating iPhone 5S with a bevy of new additions.

As well as making the jump to a faster, more power efficient A8 processor, the iPhone 6 will reportedly be bestowed with improved camera optics and the WWDC unveiled iOS 8 operating system.

Making the jump to a new 4.7-inch form factor, the handset will reportedly precede an even larger, 5.5-inch iPhone offering later this year. Apple is also expected to launch its first wearable, the much mooted iWatch, later this year.
