Pictures of HTC's forthcoming 'hero' handset, the HTC One A9, have leaked onto the internet.
Earlier in the year, new HTC CEO Cher Wang announced that the company would be launching a new "hero handset" towards the end of the year following disappointing sales of the HTC One M9. We've heard and seen a number of snippets of information since.
That phone is expected to be called the HTC One A9, and we may just have gotten the biggest look at it yet.
That ever-reliable source of smartphone tips (particularly HTC-related ones), Evan Blass (aka @Evleaks), has posted a bunch of official-looking images of a new HTC handset.
As previously revealed by Blass, the A9 won't be the 10-core monster phone we were previously expecting. Rather, this colourful handset will be a mid-ranger with a focus on style rather than cutting edge performance.
Thats why the phone comes in these six different colours, and also why it looks rather a lot like the iPhone 6S. Just check out that antenna design.
Of course, this isn't too dissimilar to HTC's own recent design work, which it started with the HTC One M7 back in 2013. But the similarity to Apple's recent flagship phones is undeniable.

Indeed, three of the colour options listed here are very similar indeed to Apple's - rose gold, carbon gray (think space gray) and silver.
As for the specs, Blass previously revealed that the HTC One A9 will come with a Snapdragon 617 CPU and 2GB of RAM, as well as a 5-inch 1080p display and a 13-megapixel camera.
The HTC One A9 could be arriving this November, but stay tuned for more details as they inevitably leak.
