Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 could be coming in 2019 – report
Rumours have begun to emerge which suggest Infinity Ward is working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for release in 2019.
According to the likes of Gaming Intel and Charlie Intel, two sources who’ve reported accurately on Call of Duty in the past, Modern Warfare 4 is next year’s title in the shooter series.
The report claims that Modern Warfare 4 will feature a fully-fledged solo campaign, traditional multiplayer and a zombies mode. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be the first in series’ history to launch without a dedicated story mode.
Infinity Ward is allegedly in talks to implement a battle royale mode into Modern Warfare 4, which would hardly be a surprise considering the presence of Blackout in Treyarch’s upcoming entry.

The timing of this rumour emerging is quite interesting as, this past weekend, a Reddit user discovered that prominent members of Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment had returned to Infinity Ward.
For context, Respawn Entertainment was founded by Vince Zampella and Jason West upon their termination from Infinity Ward in 2010. So, it seems some members of the team are returning to the blockbuster shooter series.
Time will tell whether this rumour rings true, as it is far too early for Activision or Infinity Ward to announce the existence of Modern Warfare 4, especially with Black Ops 4 set to launch on October 12.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is another rumour concerning the franchise to surface recently. It will apparently be a standalone product with a solo campaign and no multiplayer.
