Time to start saving...

The Apple Watch is expected to debut at the event on September 9, and probably won't go on sale until next year. And according to a new report, it won't be cheap.

Sources have told Re/code that Apple is considering a $400 (£241) price for its first wearable. Though this isn't set in stone – Apple is expected to offer a range of models, some cheaper, some more expensive.

£241 would be around the price of higher-end Android wearables. The Samsung Gear 2 costs £249, while the Gear 2 Neo is a little cheaper at £169. Though Apple is always one of the most expensive in every product category it enters.

It's also not known whether Apple will announce the iWatch price at its event in a couple of weeks. It's thought Apple will show off the device months ahead of its actual launch, which is expected sometime in 2015. The Cupertino company did the same with the original iPhone and iPad.

The iWatch would be the first new product category for Apple since the iPad launched in 2010. It's expected to debut alongside the iPhone 6, which is thought to come in two sizes: 4.7 inches, and 5.5 inches.

Both are larger than the current 4-inch iPhone 5s and 5c.

It'll all be kicking off on September 9. We'll be on-hand to bring you all the news as it breaks, so stay tuned. How much do you think Apple's iWatch will cost? Leave a comment and let us know.
