This is how much space you’ll need for PlayStation VR
Advertising leaflets spotted on Imgur (via Polygon) have confirmed how much space you will need to operate PlayStation VR.
According to the leaflet, the recommended “play area” for the headset will be 9.8′ of depth and 6.2′ of width in addition to a two-foot dead zone directly in front of the PlayStation Camera.
The leaflet also mentions that players wearing the headset must be directly in front of the PlayStation Camera and “remain seated whenever possible.”
If a game requires you to stand up for a specific section or in order to play it, you may need to reposition the PS Camera for the optimal experience.

PlayStation VR also supports a “cinematic mode” that allows players to play, watch and consume content within a giant virtual venue.
This will work in a similar way to applications such as Netflix on Samsung Gear VR and HTC Vive.
PlayStation VR is scheduled to launch on October 13, 2016.
