The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra’s chunky camera module is dividing fans
Samsung is due to shortly release its next flagship smartphone range, but judging from some new leaked images its design might not go down well with everyone.
The renders below appear to show off the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra in all its glory − but some fans may be disappointed with the chunky camera module that includes the branding ‘Space Zoom 100x’.
The module also significantly protrudes out of the rear panel, so it won’t sit flat on a table if you lay it down to rest there.

Twitter responses have been predictably critical.
Some users noted a similarity with the iPhone 11‘s chunky and ungainly camera module, while a couple of tweets compared its appearance to that of a Samsung smart refrigerator. Yes, really.
But performance is more important than looks, and there’s plenty to get excited about for this device.

From the rumours that we’ve uncovered so far, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will be a seriously impressive bit of kit. The AMOLED display is expected to measure 6.9 inches, and be capable of a 120Hz refresh rate.
The camera also look impressive on paper, said to be led by a 108-megapixel sensor, and complemented by a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor, a 48-megapixel ultrawide lens and a Time-of-Flight sensor.
Meanwhile, it will be powered by an Exynos 990 chip with up to 16GB of RAM and the option for 5G connectivity. The battery is slated to have a 5000mAh capacity with speedy 45W fast-charging.

Along with this impressive flagship, we expect to see a couple of other devices from Samsung at its Unpacked Event on February 11. That includes the other models in the series − the Galaxy S20, and the S20 Plus − but also a brand new foldable mobile phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
