Someone just made a real Assassin’s Creed Syndicate rope launcher

One enthusiastic Assassin’s Creed Syndicate fan has made a real-life working version of the awesome rope launcher.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate only came out on Friday, but that hasn’t stopped one inventor recreating one of the game’s newest gadgets.
The game’s protagonists, Evie and Jacob Frye, both have a grappling-hook gauntlet that launches a rope, improving the traditional hidden-blade gauntlet that assassins always have in the Ubisoft series.
British inventor Colin Furze has a history of making some wild and wacky videogame-related contraptions, so he’s partnered with Ubisoft to create fully-functioning versions of the new gauntlets in real life.

Furze posted the video of his amazing inventions to his YouTuve channel over the weekend, making sure to scale up some walls just to show off the rope launcher’s capabilities.
It’s powered by a carbon dioxide canister, and it’s a lot slower than the Frye twin’s alternates but it certainly is impressive.
The hidden-blade gauntlet extends and retracts at the flick of a wrist, which is probably a little too effective.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
