Samsung Galaxy S5 Colours: Four hues confirmed for launch

Four Samsung Galaxy S5 colours will be available at launch, the Korean manufacturer has confirmed during the handset’s MWC 2014 press conference.

Despite having forgone a premium metal finish in favour of its beloved plastic, Samsung has confirmed early S5 adopters will have a wider range of colour options – we know which we would rather have seen.

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 having originally landed in traditional black and white colour schemes, launch Samsung Galaxy S5 colours will see the standard monochrome options bolstered by two further shades.

Adding a bit of glitz and glam to the flagship phone, gold and bright blue Samsung Galaxy S5 colours have also been confirmed.

We provide a variety of colour options to better express users’ personalities,” JK Shin, President and CEO of Samsung Mobile said in unveiling the device. He added: “The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a unique perforated design for better grip.”

These aren’t just regular blue and gold colours, though, oh no. The Samsung Galaxy S5 colours will see ‘Electric Blue’ and ‘Copper Gold’ join the tantalisingly named ‘Shimmer White’ and ‘Charcoal Black’ options.

It almost makes up for the lack of a premium metal build, almost.
