Overwatch’s competitive mode comes with some fancy new weapon skins

The upcoming competitive mode for Overwatch will reward talented players with an assortment of gold weapon skins.

Korean players spotted the new skins during public testing for the mode, capturing a number of images for each of them.

Blizzard has confirmed that new characters and maps will be added to the game for free in the coming months through downloadable updates.

Game director Jeff Kaplan discussed the new content in a recent blog post, including a map that is “amazing yet a total disaster at the same time.”

Overwatch’s Competitive Play mode is due to launch later this month for all platforms. Blizzard is yet to confirm when we can expect new playable heroes and maps.
