Nokia Lumia 1520V mini pictures appear ahead of potential April release date
Images of the purported Nokia Lumia 1520V mini have appeared online with a suggested April release date.
Earlier this month, information about a mini version of the Nokia Lumia 1520 emerged online, which has now been backed by some leaked images.
The images appeared on some Chinese websites, showing the 1520V next to an iPhone 4S and the full-sized Lumia 1520.
Nokia unveiled the Lumia 1520 in December as the manufacturer’s first large-screen, full 1080p HD Windows 8 smartphone.
In comparison to the Lumia 1520’s 6-inch display, the 1520V was tipped to have a 4.3-inch 1080 x 1920p full HD screen. However, the latest rumours suggest the actual retail edition will have a 4.45-inch 768 x 1280p HD display.
It will supposedly be powered by a 2370mAh battery, but that’s all we know for now.
The Chinese sources suggest the Nokia Lumia 1520V will be released in April, rather than a dedicated technology show like MWC 2014.
Nokia Lumia 1520 Features
Along with the 6-inch full HD display, the 1520 features a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
The 1520 also has a 20-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilisation and dual LED flash. This rear camera is capable of full 1080p HD video recording at 30fps and is paired with a 1.2-megapixel front camera.
Coming equipped with a microSD card slot with 64GB support, the 1520 comes with 32GB of internal storage and users also get access to 7GB of OneDrive cloud storage.
It is powered by a 3,400mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8. It is also eligible for the Lumia Black update, which offers features like notifications and camera tweaks.
