LG has confirmed it will launch two flagship phones in 2016, despite poor growth in mobile sales.
The news comes as part of the company’s quarterly earnings report, in which ‘two new flagship models’ and a ‘more cost competetive value chain’ are mentioned.
LG announced it sold 59.7 million smartphones last year, only half a million more than in 2014.
It seems the South-Korean firm is undettered by the disappointing figures however, and plans to launch what will undoubtedly be the LG G5 and LG G Flex 3, although this is yet to be confirmed.

Launching two flagship models is a common practice among smartphone makers, with Samsung and Sony both doing the same.
Last year, LG launched the LG G4 flagship handset, and followed that up with the V10 model shortly after.
The company is expected to launch the G5 at Mobile World Congress 2016 at an event on February 21.
On Monday, an image purporting to show the forthcoming handset was leaked, showing a dual rear camera setup and USB Type-C port.
