GTA 5 PC Edition listed on European Amazon sites

Two GTA 5 PC listings have been spotted on European Amazon sites, suggesting a launch is imminent.
Amazon’s France and Germany were both spotted listing a PC edition of GTA 5 this week, complete with placeholder box art and pricing information.
The French Amazon listing has since been pulled, but the Amazon Germany listing was still active at the time of writing with a price of €59.99 (£50).
This isn’t the first time Amazon Germany has listed a PC edition of GTA 5, in fact it first did so in May 2013 and that was pulled too.
Amazon is often the place to spot premature listings, especially for products that are eventually released – including the PS4 Killzone 4: Shadow Fall mega bundle.
An online petition, which has over 600,000 signatures, has been urging Rockstar Games to release a PC edition, but so far there’s been no official confirmation that such a game exists.
In August last year, Nvidia tipped a GTA 5 would arrive on PC in the autumn last year during its Q2 2014 earnings call.
Later in November, “industry sources” claimed GTA 5 would be launched for PC “in the first quarter of 2014”, which could well be supported by these new Amazon listings.
Since GTA 5 launched in September for Xbox 360 and PS3, Rockstar Games has focused on stabilising and expanding the GTA Online experience.
It has confirmed that huge single-player DLC content is coming this year though:
“For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor’s action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.”
The PC edition of GTA 4 arrived seven months after the initial Xbox 360 and PS3 launch. This means the PC edition of GTA 5 could potentially launch in late spring or early summer this year.
