Rockstar is set to reveal details on GTA Online’s Festive Surprise event later today, unveiling what the holidays have waiting for us this year.

In past years, the annual event has had a start-date of December 19 with updates rolling out across PS4, Xbox One and PC at 11AM GMT or so.

If 2017 follows this trend, we can expect an update from Rockstar compiling all the festive content in the coming hours. Here’s hoping for a few surprises!

Previous years saw festive weapons, clothing and vehicles added to the online playground alongside the addition of falling snow across Los Santos from December 22.

In addition, players can partake in snowball fights and admire a free Christmas tree in their virtual apartment. It’s a neat aesthetic twist that’s a blast to experience with friends. Just try and avoid killing each other.

Time will tell whether any new goodies are planned. Festive Surprise follows shortly in the footsteps of Doomsday Heist, the latest free expansion for Rockstar’s popular online title.
