Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer pack gets a release date

Diablo 3’s Rise of the Necromancer Class Pack is set to launch on June 27, Blizzard Entertainment has announced.

The downloadable content pack brings a variety of new additions to Diablo 3, the most important being the Necromancer class.

It will be available to download across PS4, Xbox One and PC next week following the implementation of update 2.6.0.

Alongside the long-awaited Necromancer class, players also gain access to a new pet, cosmetic wings and an assortment of banners for your hero to equip.

Blizzard has confirmed that Rise of the Necromancer will be available across all platforms for $14.99. We’ve yet to see UK pricing emerge.

Reviews Editor Alastair Stevenson went hands-on with the Necromancer earlier this year. Here’s what he thought:

“Though I wasn’t terribly excited about the readdition of the Necromancer class to Diablo when Blizzard first announced it, having had a go with the new character, you can colour me impressed. From what I’ve seen, Blizzard has taken the neurotically focused approach it’s famous for, and created a customisable and balanced character class that could comfortably carve its own place in any adventure party or solo adventure.”
