Leak reveals 4-inch iPhone with unprecedented specs

Specifications for a new 4-inch iPhone have reportedly leaked, hinting at what could be Apple’s fastest handset yet.
As reported by Forbes, Chinese site MyDrivers attained launch details and specs for what could very well be the highly anticipated iPhone 6C.
The specs include an Apple A9 chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 1,642mAh battery and a 4-inch 1136 x 640 pixel display, putting the new handset on a similar performance level to that of the iPhone 6S.
With an A9 chipset, 2GB RAM, and a 1715 mAh battery, the larger 6S has almost identical specs to those released by MyDrivers.

This means that with a smaller 4-inch display requiring less power, the new handset could very well have a superior battery life when compared to its larger counterparts, as well as being the fastest iPhone to date.
The leaked details may refer to a forthcoming iPhone 6C, although considering the high-end specs, it is unclear whether Apple is working on a new range of smaller handsets separate from its ‘C’ range.
Indeed, the company could be preparing to do away with the ‘C’ range entirely, although there has been nothing else to suggest such a move.
MyDrivers, which has a good record with breaking iPhone related news early, states the phone will have the same ‘2.5D’ curved glass as the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, and will start at 4,000 yuan (£425, $615).

The last ‘C’ model, the iPhone 5C, had flat glass and the 8GB model starts at 3,288 yuan (£341, $500).
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 7, which will likely include an A10 chipset and more RAM, later this year.
There has been no word from Apple on whether the latest leak is legitimate or not. TrustedReviews has contacted the company for comment.
