Apple details iOS 8.1 ahead of upcoming release

With an iOS 8.1 release set to be held in the coming days, Apple has detailed some of the upcoming features of the new mobile OS patch.
Having come under criticism for the issue-hit rollout of iOS 8 last month, Apple has been quick to jump to a full point-one update in order to fix bugs and add new features.

Although not dwelling on the iOS 8 issues, he offered a glimpse of what’s to come in iOS 8.1.
“We’ve added support in 8.1 for Apple Pay and iCloud Drive,” he stated.
Offering further insight into the benefits of iCloud Drive, he added: “You can now have access to every photo you take on every device.”
iOS 8 will be compatible with Apple’s latest iPhone and tablet offerings, including the oversized iPhone 6 Plus.
Needing to be out in time for the upcoming Apple Pay launch, the iOS 8.1 release date has been confirmed for this Monday, October 20.
