Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 lands in UK as super-saver tablet
Alcatel OneTouch has finally launched its Pixi 7 tablet on UK soil after unveiling the budget slate back at MWC in February.
There’s no confusion here – Alcatel OneTouch has binned off any semblance of spec formidability for a wallet-coddling price tag of just £69.99.
So what does that near-invisible price tag get you? You’re looking at a 7-inch 960 x 540 QHD display slapped onto a 285-gram ‘compact and light’ chassis.
“Alcatel OneTouch today launches the Pixi 7 to the UK market,
Inside you’ll find a triple-core 1.2GHz processor, a 2840mAh battery that’s good for 4 hours of browsing time, and built-in WiFi connectivity.
Snapping potential comes courtesy of two decidedly meagre cameras, both measuring up at 0.3-megapixels front and back.
All this is utilised by an Android 4.4 KitKat operating system that will give willing users access to all the latest goodies Google’s Play Store has to offer.
It’s also worth mentioning that the Pixi 7 comes with an integrated infrared port, which means you can use your tablet as a universal remote control via your TV.
The specs are assuredly underwhelming, but that’s no surprise considering the price point.
The Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 7 is available nationwide from Three stores starting today, and lands in a singular colour option – ‘bluish black’.
