Xbox One with 1TB hard drive spotted on Amazon

A 1TB Xbox One has been spotted on Amazon, ahead of any official announcement from Microsoft.

According to a placeholder listing from Amazon via Engadget, Microsoft could be preparing an upgraded Xbox One for launch at E3 2015.

Although the Amazon listing lacked images, it suggested Microsoft could launch a 1TB Xbox One bundle for $400 (approx. £300) that comes complete with the newly designed Xbox One Wireless Controller and a copy of the Halo: Master Chief Collection.

The new controller is rumoured to come with a 3.5mm headphone jack in the base to enhance the headset compatibility for the Xbox One.

Amazon listed the release date for this package as June 15, which just so happens to be the date of the Microsoft E3 2015 press conference.

“We’re gearing up for an exciting E3 where we’ll showcase more games and experiences. We have nothing further to share at this time,” came the official Microsoft spokesperson line on the leak.

During last year’s E3 2015 press conference Microsoft launched a 1TB Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare branded Xbox One bundle that retailed for £449.99 without Kinect.

Normally the Xbox One only comes with a 500GB hard drive – just like its rival the PS4.

We’re most excited about the enhancements coming to the Xbox One Wireless Controller, which you can see in this leak, as it’ll finally introduce a headset port.

The thought of a 1TB Xbox One is great, but seeing as the console already supports external storage it’s a little less exciting for those who already own an Xbox One.

There’s also rumours Sony will pull a 1TB PS4 out of the bag at its own E3 2015 press conference.

TrustedReviews will be on the ground at E3 2015 to bring you all the latest from the Los Angeles-based game conference.
