Plex for Windows 10 gains new Cortana support

The popular media server app Plex has updated its Windows 10 software to offer more support for the voice-powered Cortana tool.

Plex v3.0.43 now gives users ability for users to play and shuttle their libraries and playlists (via Windows Central), along with a host of other tweaks and bugfixes.

Users will now be able to summon Cortana and call out what they’d like to watch from their content libraries.

The Universal Windows App was only released to the Windows store last month, boasting a brand new interface and Continuum support, the latter coming once the in-beta mobile app arrives.

The desktop release came after a year of Windows 10 users putting up with the old Windows 8 version when streaming their media.

Based on the Kodi framework, Plex has become a hugely popular means for folks to organise their video, music and photo collections and access them on all devices around the home.

If you fancy giving Plex, and its improved Cortana functionality a shot, you can download the app from the Windows Store right now.
