The game was unveiled during Nintendo’s recent Direct presentation, where a short gameplay demonstration was shown.
Colour Splash takes place in a new world devoid of colour, and it seems Mario and friends must paint the world as best they can in order to succeed.
Mario wields a paint hammer than can be used to interact with certain parts of the environment. This item can be used to solve puzzles and decorate the environment however you like.

Nintendo has confirmed that the game will be available later in 2016, but did not mention a specific release date.
The latest game in the Paper Mario franchise was Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam Bros, a crossover title with the beloved Mario and Luigi RPG series.
