Nexus 6P to house unusually large battery in all-metal body

Fresh details concerning the Nexus 6P have emerged just prior to its official unveiling.

We already know - or at least heavily suspect - almost everything there is to know about the Nexus 6P prior to its launch. We know the Huawei-made device's name, it's core specs, and even what its packaging will look like.

However, a fresh presentation slide leak has confirmed two particular elements of Google's new phablet ahead of the company's September 29 event. The slides were posted on image sharing service Imgur (via Android Police).

For one thing, the slides mention that the Nexus 6P will have an all-metal unibody design weighing 178g (that's lighter than the Nexus 6).

The other interesting thing that the slides confirm is that the Nexus 6P will run on a 3,450mAh battery. That's pretty huge, even for an Android phablet. The recent Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a 3,000mAh battery, while even the giant Nexus 6 has a 3,220mAh battery.

Combined with Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow improvements, we're expecting the Nexus 6P to last a long time in between charges - even with its 5.7-inch QHD display and Snapdragon 810 CPU.

The Nexus 6P will also be the latest device to ditch microUSB for USB Type-C, and will also come with dual front-facing speakers.

We're expecting to see the Nexus 6P launching alongside the smaller, cheaper Nexus 5X at tomorrow's launch event, which starts at 4PM GMT.
