New Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge colours released

If you weren’t content with the original array of Galaxy S6 colours, we’ve some good news; Samsung has just introduced a pair of new handset options.

A little over a month on from the phone’s global release, the Korean manufacturer has confirmed that a blue Galaxy S6 will be joined on retailers’ shelves by a green Galaxy S6 Edge.

Of course this being a series of flagship phones, the colours in question couldn’t be so simplistically named.

Instead, we’re looking at a ‘Blue Topaz’ S6 and an ‘Emerald Green’ S6 Edge – fancy.

These over-the-top colour schemes join the Black Sapphire, White Pearl and Gold Platinum models already available for both flagship phones.

Although the more vibrant handset tones were debut during the phone’s MWC unveiling back in March, neither was made available for purchase when the handset hit retailers on April 10.

According to Samsung, “The Blue Topaz Galaxy S6 represents the perfect fashion accessory for style-conscious consumers looking for a vibrant, expressive and distinctive color, and the Green Emerald Galaxy S6 edge provides a simply stunning color choice that meets the needs of those who want a sophisticated, yet unique looking mobile device.”

For those holding out for something a little more special, Samsung last week confirmed that the much-mooted Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 is ‘coming soon’.

The red and gold hued handset is being released as part of the manufacturer’s Avengers sponsorship.
