Moto 360 metal and leather bands now available to buy
Motorola has finally made available its standalone metal and leather bands for its flagship smartwatch.
Owners of the fledgling Moto 360 can now bling out their wrist-borne kit with straps far ritzier than the default rubber fare.
It should help assuage concerns that the Moto 360 felt a tad less premium than most expected pre-launch.
The Horween-made leather straps come in colour options of black, stone, and Cognac brown, all pricing up at $29.99 (£19).
The stainless steel comes in both black and silver, but comes with a premium bundled on top – each band will cost $79.99 (£51).
A bonus addition of the metal straps is the butterfly clasp, which makes the hiked up price tag a little less obnoxious.
Unfortunately it’s a little tricky to actually switch over the bands, so Motorola recommends new strapsters head on down to a local jeweller for a helping hand.
Motorola launched its Moto 360 last month, landing as one of the least hideous smartwatches on offer to date.
TrustedReviews gave it a 6/10, praising it for being light and comfortable, with wireless charging support, but condemning the meagre battery life, ugly display bezel, and dodgy heart-rate monitor.
The Moto 360 costs £199 in the UK, and comes with Android Wear OS, a 1.5-inch 320 x 290 display, a 320mAh battery and 4GB of built-in storage.
